Our Story:

Like the Mecoche division of the Shawnee people who occupied the land before them, the Piatts treasure the resources and the spirit of the valley they call home. In the 1820's, Judge Benjamin M. and Elizabeth Barnett Piatt moved their family from Cincinnati to the rolling hills of Logan County. Two of their children, Abram Sanders and Donn later built their own homes, Mac-A-Cheek and Mac-O-Chee in the country-side they knew as youths. These unique structures have become a private, family-owned museum that interprets over 200 years of history of the Ohio land and Ohio people.

There not in Marysville, There in West Liberty which is a few miles from there. You can see the top of one of them off of either st rt 68 or 72 Please forgive I can not find a map. This will help it is the same highway that goes from Urbana to Bellfountain. One castle is Mac a chet I think. One is like a church and the other is a castle. If your headed to bellfountain, once you see the castle on your right next road turn right it the church is on this road.

Give a call to your local historical society or local chamber of commerce. Even local real estate agents should know where they are, what they are called and what is the history behind them
