Can someone provide a link to an example of change in an animal population? My homework requires that I give a description of the change, aka numerical data, name of animal, factor of change (biotic or abiotic), etc.
I'm not asking you do the work; just to provide an example.

Try looking at the Hawaiian honeycreeper which changed due to the variety of food sources available. Here's a start:

The most used animal population change factor involves the predator-prey relationship between the lynx and snowshoe hare. Here is an example.

The classic example that most use for natural selection is the peppered moth scenario. Read about it at the site below. While the experiments weren't entirely done correctly, the basic elements of the story are still true.

I don't quite follow your question. Are you asking about population growth/decline? If so, fire ants are a good example. They've been spreading quite rapidly the past couple of decades.
