Liberals, will that change anything?

Following are some inconvenient truths (for the libs). They have been stated and posted on the web many times, but ignored by the libs, whose purpose is to bash Bush.

Global warming and cooling occurs in cycles, and has for billions of years. We are now in a warming phase.

Mans addition to global warming contributes less than 1% of the total.

If the polar ice caps all melted, the rise in sea level would be about one foot, worldwide.

Al Gore is not an authority on environment. He is, mostly, a bag of hot air. "An Inconvenient Truth" does not state fact. Like most Hollywood productions, it is pure fiction. It is intended to scare people. What really scares me is that so many people are so (bleep)ing stupid that they believe his childish fantasies. Are you that stupid?

That's not a 'What if', it's the meaning of "is". This natural process of change in nature has blown so far out of proportion in importance that it's shameful so much worry, politicing, money, time, effort, publicity, etc. is totally wasted on a non-problem!
Nobody, nor any amount of money, time, or worry, can do anything to stop, change, reverse, alter, or 'fix' nature. The ONLY thing nature does with any regularity is change! Always has, always will. Nature has it's natural filters built in to adapt to the surroundings. Nature always reclaims what man does. People never used to worry about things they can't change. A few quacks suffering paranoid delusions and squawking loudly got way too much undeserved publicity. It's a brain pollution caused by the liberal Chicken Little Syndrome. With a lot of help from the liberal media, of course.
All they have to do to fix 'global warming is to STOP WORRYING ABOUT IT!! It will go away on it's own accord like the 'new ice age' did back in the '70s!
Her's another absolute truth. Earth does not go in a perfect orbit around the sun. Its more erratic ecentric Every year is a slightly different path which brings us closer to the sun in summer and farther from the sun in winter. It's a slow change that's been happening since before man. But it never gets too close or too far away to end life.

Cleaner skies, less pollution, less dependency on foreign oils, healthier people, no acid rain? Yeah, that world sounds so very bad. So many people criticize him, but what they're really criticizing is the fact that someone cares about the environment enough to want to change the bad things and do good. If he's wrong, so what? We'll have the above list and just laugh because poor Al is a little naive.

Anyone that can think that all the pollutants we have sent into the atmosphere and water and earth would not have an effect is very naive. It changes the balance of everything. The bigger question is....What if Gore is really right? What if we do nothing? Wake up.....that many scientists cannot be that wrong. You keep pouring garbage in your living room and eventually you will notice it in your home. We pour garbage and toxic gas into the earth and sky and eventually it will become a problem.

Swift action imposing a carbon tax on industries would add technical jobs (that do not involve killing people) and would significantly improve our environment by reducing carbon pollution.

If he's wrong and we take action, the economy and the environment will improve. If he's right, we may even head off a global climate change disaster that could kill millions of people.

Ignorant conservatives rant, troll, and drool.

Gore is quoting hundreds of scientists, re global warming.

So, either your question is: What if Gore misunderstood what the scientist are saying, and is misquoting them? Or: What if the scientists are wrong? It makes a difference.

But let's assume you mean, what if the scientists are wrong.

Burning fossil fuels is still harmful to the environment, still causes pollution and smog, and still makes us dependent on foreign counties for our energy needs. Converting to green renewable energy sources still fixes all those problems.

So, it really doesn't matter whether what we are doing is fatal or not. Changing our behavior is still an unqualified benefit, and continuing what we are doing is still an unqualified harm.

The only issue is -- is it a fatal harm or not. Why gamble?

Al Gore's opinion on Global Warming has little bearing on the debate except to deniers. The science and the facts stand by themselves. Please try and stop attacking the messenger for carrying the message - it only shows the ignorance of the attacker.

Wrong about what? Global warming?

He's not, and assuming you can somehow prove a negative, yes liberals would change their minds because liberals value science.

Unlike republicans apparently, because global warming has bee proven far beyond the level that most issues are typically researched.

Wrong about what?

The only people who deny that global warming is reality believes in an imaginary man that lives in the sky who created the earth and mankind 6000 years and that dinosaurs lived side by side with us.
