If not, what sound do they make?

No, ravens have a lower, rolling "wrohk" usually. They make many noises, one is sort of a "caaa" but always harsher and lower. Ravens are bigger with bigger bills. If you see one in flight, note that the end of the tail is pointed in ravens, but not in crows.

I'm assuming you're talking about American Crows and Common Ravens. There are also Fish Crows and Chihuahuan Ravens in the US which both make different noises as well.

A crow's call has been likened to a "Car! Car!" and "Crow! Crow!" sound, hence the name. A raven has a much more gutteral quality to its voice, more like what I would describe as a "scrawk" and creaking noise, like a one-ton wooden door being opened slowly. Does this help?

West of the "Great Divide", Crows are called Ravens. The call is the same and the bird is nearly identical except the Raven is a little larger. I observed the size difference in 1984 during a tour of Yellowstone Park. That was before the fire that changed how the park looks today. Our children started feeding them bread until we read a sign that said "Feeding Wild Animals is Prohibited."

I think a raven's caw is a little more gutteral than a crow's caw. They sound a little more like something's stuck in their throats. But it's the same basic type of sound.
