Depends on what you are into.
If you are active and like sports, then find teams to play with in the team sport of your choice. Or find people to play tennis, basketball, golf, or whatever with.
If you have a bicycle, ride it, a new direction and area every ride, if you don't have one, consider buying one.
Do you like to garden? If you don't have a yard, you can plant things in barrels or tubs on your deck or patio. Many towns and cities have community gardens where you can rent a plot of land (usually the rent is $25 or less for the entire season, or a portion of what you grow for the local food bank).
My favorite outdoors pastime is taking walks with my camera. I happen to live in an extremely scenic city, but a lot of my photo's are taken within a 5 block radius of where I live. I photograph anything and everything that piques my interest ... trees, flowers, people, textures, the sky, animals, birds, insects.
