generally "emo" fashions include the following:
*lots of dark or black clothing, such as the tight, skinny jeans, band/slogan t-shirts, etc.
*different & interesting hairstyles like short in the back with the longer floppy bangs, or more extreme haircuts & often dyed hair
*unique makeup application, worn by guys & gals, in non-traditional ways
*usually jewelry like wristbands, chains...very "punk"-looking, actually
*footwear includes converse, vans, boots & similar styles
*piercings are popular too...not just the ears, but nose, eyebrow, lip, etc.

Emo really isn't so much a fashion as a mindset, or at least that's the way it started....But it's sort of turned into a fashin trend of sorts, I suppose..The skinny jeans, the messy, long-ish hair covering the face, etc.

"emo" fashion (another word lost in translation... *sigh*) consists of a lot of black, dark colors, maybe some red, black leather, thick black liner and white face paint (for guys and girls), chains, etc.
Just so you know what I meant by "lost in translation", emo is actually a type of music.... (that sux, but still)

Typically, all black clothing, straight long hair covering one side of the face or eye, trench coats, black makeup (even on guys), and black boots. This is a trend I suggest not to go with....

-long bangs combed over, short hair in the back
-dark eyes
-heavy metal music
-you write a lot [seriously!]
-have big headphones
-black nails
-wear dark colors
-black hair
-sweatshirts with band logos [mostly black or dark colored]
this may sound goth, but trust me it's emo.
just listen to the song 'i must be emo' by hollywood undead. they describe emo for you in there.

well boys generally have long floppy hair covering their eyes. girls n boys wear eyeliner and wear tight jeans. girls wear patterned and printed long tees, with chunky plastic jewelry. boys usually wear black. walmart and other thrift stores sell 'emo' clothes.
