FOX News has about 3.3 million daily viewers.

So certainly not all Republicans watch Fox news.

3.3 million would only be 5.3% of those who voted for Bush.

So, looking at the facts,

Why do some Democrats assume that all Republicans are Fox News viewers?

Do they just not know any better ?

Aqua Rose, why do you feel it is necessary to make a personal attack just because i ask a honest question?

I certainly didn't say all Democrats, now did I ?

Aqua Rose, I have read every answer to my question, no where did I see anyone say the republicans are the "discriminated" and "wounded" party.

So just what are you talking about ?

It really deals with a lot of the republican posts here, I know a lot of genuinely good republicans, mostly centrists, but here you get the extremists and they almost ALWAYS use quotes from Fox to try and make their points, so I guess what I'm saying is that out of that 3.3 million it seems like there a million of them on this forum, same goes on with the left as well but there are more places the far lefties get thier info from (that said I think both sides use extremes when confronting issues)

They can't stand that there is a news channel that tells the other side of the story. They just don't want anybody to get information that conflicts with the Democrats ideas on how the news should be interpreted.
All news is slanted on way or the other, nobody presents just the facts and lets the viewers decide.
Fox is better than the rest, it leans a little to the right, but the rest of the stations lean way to the left.
So when Fox puts out their news the Democrats have a fit that the people are hearing from the other side.
Not everybody is a democrat or a republican many people are in the middle and lean left on some issues and right on others.

You seem to be setting up a straw man here. I think Republicans can stand up for their opinions very well without the existence of FOX news, and I do believe many Democrats and independents (including myself) watch FOX news.

I assume that many people who express views that are based upon inaccurate information have been listening to talk radio or one of the major networks. It just happens that nearly every talk show is very "establishment" oriented. (Admit it... FOX is very conservative.) It just happens that many, many myths and stories are inaccurately presented by the media in the United States.

Maybe FOX news is more obvious about their political leanings/orientations, but all the networks are gun shy about threatening the reality that is being pushed by the administration. Our media (FOX, ABC, NBC, CBS, .., and even PBS) has lost all credibility among those who have taken the time to research current events. It seems that we can receive better and more accurate information through the Internet and foreign news sources.

There is very little truth in the corporate controlled media.
Be it fox news, Cnn, CBS or any of them.

People associate Fox News with Republicans because lets face it they lean in this direction a great deal. Much as CNN leans to the left. The people in control have both bases covered. They have the little monkeys just fighting away while they destroy America.

Right, and there no "snide" comments about democrats and liberals? Because I can count FAR FAR more.

Please don't make yourself look like more of a hypocrite than you already are Mr. "Imsuchaselfrighteousgoodandmoralconservative"

Jeeper: Look at your party's answers on this question alone. It's so hypocritical. Claiming that republicans are the "discriminated" and "wounded" party. But you also claim to be a majority? Yeah right. Maybe you should all try to actually act like you claim to be for a change. Attacking liberals at every chance then downing them for insulting conservatives is just stupid.

I'm not exactly a Republican, but I watch Fox once in a while but then CNN most of the time. I really like to catch CSPAN to see what actually happened. Interesting to see what the media makes out of everything.

The Republicans who are radically opposed to Democrats seem to watch O'Reilly a lot.

You are wrong. I am a Liberal, and I watch Fox.
Why?
I watch Fox News because I like the WAY they present news.
Although at times I have to laugh out loud at HOW they present it. (Hannity, O'Reilly, Brit Hume and his three parrots, etc. And of course, I really enjoy it when they hang onto every word that Coulter utters.)
I have also seen a 'softening' in their 'hardline' attitudes. One can only defend the 'indefensible' up to a point, then common sense kicks in. (O'Reilly)
So, the main reason I watch Fox News, is to observe at first hand the shifting of opinion in the US. And it is shifting, thank God!
Last night I really had a good laugh when Gerardo Rivera told O'Reilly that he (O'Reilly) sees 'Left and Right in his pyjamas'!

I don't think all Republicans are stupid OR Fox "News" viewers.

It's just that when I see a truly moronic question, it's always a good bet that the one who posed it has either been watching Fox "News" or listening to Limbaugh, Coulter, Beck, Savage, O'Reilly or some other uninformed barking head.

If Fox "News" were to bill itself truthfully, as an entertainment network instead of masquerading as a real journalistic endeavor, people like me might respect it more.

Fox "News" is to real journalism as professional wrestling is to real sport.

Who said they were the same 3.3 million every single day?

The same reason they hate American Idol and any show on Fox. Watch VH1s' Best week ever. Keith Olbermann has the biggest hard on for Bill O'rilley and it's twisted and strange. If you ask them what time is O'riley is on they don't know. It's in their playbook and if you say it enough people will soon believe you.
