argue with me about about things without anything to back it up but "because thats how i feel"? Do all liberals go off emotion and not the facts or what is right? Or is it that these kids only go off their liberal parents who obiviosly have nothing to back their selves up because if they did the kid would say what they have heard from their parents right?

The average middle school student isn't going to be able to craft a good argument. In time the things that they "feel" will solidify as belief and they will fill out their reasoning.

It's important to understand that there are smart liberals and smart conservatives, but that they disagree on philosophy and ideology. Neither side is inherently wrong and those who believe in one side or another are not inherently stupid or irrational - no matter how much it might seem like it sometimes.

Just imagine what those kids think of you. :)

I was brought up in a very PC/Liberal household with information to back up the claims my parents made. And I had many conversations with people who were on the other side of the spectrum that didn't have anything to back themselves up. Just as I have had conversations with liberals who had nothing to back them up.

So being that I grew up and am what is called a 'fence sitter', having had disputes with both libs and cons, I can say that it's not one side or the other that has no facts to back them up, but certain people are just mimicking what they hear. Eventually they all grow up and learn, usually, that everything they were taught as kids isn't necessarily the absolute truth of how they believe.

With many liberals, intent is more important than results. Look at Johnson's Great Society. That was supposed to end poverty. What did we end up with? A permanent sub-culture of dependents.

But do the liberals care that billions have been spent and we still have about the same percent of poor? No. They meant well, so it is okay. They tried, so now they feel good about themselves.

Liberalism is a mental disorder. It is similar to arguing with a person who is Bipolar. The bipolar person's brain is completely severed from reality. You could argue with the bipolar and even back up your statements with proven facts and sources but the Bipolar will continue to fight and fight and fight and think that they were right just like the liberals. Its no point to argue much with these imbicels. Just show them the facts then back away and let them decide. The liberals cant run away from common sense for very long. Ultimately, the liberals will either go away and light up a joint and get high (in order to run away from common sense) or they will commit suicide.

As a teacher in a middle school I would say about 2% of the students actually have their "OWN" opinion on politics. Don't think anything of it, they're just saying what their parents say.

Both sides do that. Both cite their own arguments, often without any factual support, based solely on what they've heard.

You're just pointing that behavior out in the people that you disagree with, because that's what you tend to notice.

I wonder if you even notice the same behavior in the people you do agree with?
