The species are numerous, so an exact number isn't known. These are actually a type of filter-feeding worm - the "fan" is a part of the mouth used to capture small particles of food.

Feather dusters (these are also called fan worms) are broken down into three families - those with a single row of bristles and a papery tube (large feather dusters that most people see in aquaria), those with a single row of bristles and a hard calcium tube (also called coco worms), and those with multiple rows of bristles (the Christmas-tree worms).

There are several hundred species of aquatic anemones that are called "Feather Dusters" go to any salt water tank site and you will find lists of them.
