It's called a name. It's his last name, which means it was his father's last name, and his father's and so on.

Osama is that guy's FIRST name, or given name, the name his parents gave him.

Neither of them are code words for anything. They are names.

That they differ by one letter is called -- hope this word isn't too big a word for you -- 'coincidence'. Which is to say, there's no hidden meaning to it, it's just an accident of the fact that there are only so many sounds and letters.

Hope this answer didn't go too far above your head.

Nope. Obama is an Kenyan surname.

More suspicious is John McCain, who shares a first name with John Hinckley and Fred Thompson, who shares both first and last names with mass-murderers (Fred West, Charles Thompson). At least "Barack" is not a name anyone associates with mass murder.

And don't forget Ernst Busch (pronounced "Bush") was the Nazi general in charge of transportation of the Jews to concentration camps. He also urged Hitler to invade Czechoslavakia. He led the 16th Army in the Western Offensive and took part in Operation Barbarossa. And George Lincoln Rockwell was the leader of the American Nazi Party. So there you have it. The current President of the United States was named after two Nazis.

Obama's first name, Barack, is just as close to the name of the former Isreal Prime Minister, Barak. Would you like to point that out too?

Even though I lean Republican, I recognise and respect Barrack Obama for the articulate and talented person that he is. Coicidental simililarities of his name to Bin Laden and Saddam have no relationship to who he is. If you happened to be named "Simpson," I wouldn't automatically think you were like O.J. Or Jessica.

Homer??..........well, maybe!
