Despite Man's sake . . ABSOLUTELY NOT . . I have no doubt!
Unless we develop a better global conscientiousness, I don't see how we'll progress, except into our own extinction.
Both the ecology and species of animals have duly suffered so much into an inevitable early extinction it seems to me, that, we'll have incapacitated ourselves from
a reversal of such extensive damage.
We are candidates, for a Reversal of Fortune, as AWSOME as we'd never would have CARED to imagine!
If one makes his own bed, it may just be demanded that one must lie in it!
Bitter Harvest indeed!

The earth can easily outlast us.
The bad things we are doing to earth and our environment doesn't really hurt the earth.
It went on for billions of years without us and it will prevail when we are gone.

Mankind has been predicting his own demise for millenia. It seems to be part of human nature. Judgement days and predicted dates for armegeddon have come and gone hundreds of times, and we were still around. What makes you think all these dire predictions are right this time around?

If we do not pollute the planet, an asteroid does not strike, and the magnetic poles remain stable, we should be fine.
