yes why not, just remember that we are living in India. every thing is possible here. did Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi have any political experience. but they are acting as a prime minister of India MR SMS is only holding that post for Rahul Gandhi but decision maker is a Gandhi family.
so why Sachin can not play? Team selection board do not have this much guts to say good bye to Sachin from cricket team. Sachin is a Big name, but kam chahe shota.
Do remember that every one having his time. but not forever.
but team india must be changed from now if we want to play batter in 2011 world cup.
because until 2011 sachin, rahul, sehwag and ganguly will be to old. Then they will take leave from cricket like Inzy.

Well, Sachin can continue in ODI's because he has so many World records to his name & a player like him can continue but he can retire & give chance to new players.

Yes, still Sachin has better average (from last 30 matches) then Ganguly, Dravid, Yuvraj, Dhoni.
If they can continue then why not Sachin.

He certainly can but the question is is it worth it? I think greatness is in calling it quiets when you are on top rather than people begging you to get out of their sight. I think Sachin, Sehwag, Dravid, Kumble, and Ganguli should take retirement honorably. And the time is NOW.

Yes, if the question starts with 'Can', Sachin definitely can. Whether he will, or will he be allowed to is a different discussion.

Considering his age and lack of form of late, I personally feel that he should retire from ODI and concentrate in test matches.
