When will Jordan Staal score a goal and help the penguins set the record for being the first team to have 3 players UNDER THE AGE OF 21, WHICH IS THE DRINKING AGE IN AMERICA, SO DEAL WITH IT.
On a side note, the penguins are only 3 1/2 games behind buffalo with 4 or 5 left to play. The Penguins are hot right now, but Buffalo has a tough finish. Will the penguins catch Buffalo, and if not Buffalo will they catch New Jersey

They are tied with Jersey and as a Pens fan I have faith that they will get that one extra win. As to the Sabres they WILL NOT catch them. They are TOO far back. Where do you get 3 1/2 games? This is HOCKEY not baseball. They are 7 POINTS back with 4 games. They would have to hope that the Sabres lose ALL their remaining games, not likely either as the Sabres have the Capitals and Boston among others. The Sabres hold the first tie breaker(wins) even if the Pens win out. So the Sabres only need ONE POINT, even an OT loss and they get the East. With 5 games left I think the Sabres EASILY get one point. As to Staal not sure when he will get the goal but he will get it.

OK i am a big Penguins fan and i was so happy after the arena deal so here is what i think will happen
Stall will get the goal in tonights game with a 4-1 win
We will get close to buffalo but they will pull away at the end of the season but we will win out
We will take 1st in the divison because NJ will lose 1 of its last games if i remember right they play buffalo that will be there loss
What we really need is buffalo winning and us winning because that will just hurt the devils more

It is an interesting trivia fact, that is all.
Nor will The Penguins catch Buffalo.
As I write this the Penguins HAVE passed New Jersey, although New Jersey has a game in hand. That one is probably about 50-50 either way (and REALLY not that important, finishing in 1st doesn't do much for you......)

I live in the USA and I was legal drinker at 18, A time when, Before Ronny Reagan, when the age for consumption was 18, so ha and double ha.
Get over it. The Pens can't catch the Sabres (Montreal, Boston, Washington, and Philadelphia are going to be playing them so how the heck do you call that a "tough finish"?).
So you think the Pens are going to sweep their last 4 games and have Buf lose 5 straight games against the weakest teams in the league?
The Devils have the upper hand, only slightly due to schedule and having more wins than the Pens. So it is realistic to catch the Devils; and at this point almost necessary to avoid losing home ice in the first round. Ottawa is the wild card in your equation because they play the Devs and Pens once each next week. Should be most interesting to see all the standings flip flop minute by minute.
PS. They can't catch the Sabres now no matter what happens so stop asking this silly question.

As a Penguins fan I am happy with what they have accomplished so far but I can't for them to show the playoff teams how great they are. No, realistically they will not catch buffalo. As for beating jersey I see a game or 2 that jersey could lose. Of course they have one more easy game playing philadelphia. Regrettably we don't have one more against them but I believe they will get home ice advantage. Whether it is as a 2 seed or a 4 seed. I can't say for certain if they will win the division but I am certain it will come down to the last game. Also don't forget ottawa has to play the pensd one more time. Judging by recent success I believe the pens will have home ice whether they play ottawa, or the 7th seed.

Staal will score a goal, Pittsburgh isn't going to pass Buffalo, and they will pass New Jersey.
Lots of angry people around today, apparently their teams didn't make the playoffs and they arn't taking it well
I hate to tell you this babywarthog but the Pens are 2-1 against the Sabres this year.

I'm sure the only record Staal wants is to win. getting a goal for the sake of being the first in that category is silly. the only thing the penguins will catch is cumberbunn (tuxedo apperell) to go with their success this year at the parties they will go to. lol
