No, I can't see the Pens getting to the finals. There are a lot of good teams in the East, but my money is going to be on New Jersey,IF BRODEUR STAYS HEALTHY.. They have quietly climbed up the ladder without any fuss about them. I think the Pens are expected to do well but with a young rather inexperienced team, especially Fleury, their going to be a disappointment. If Buffalo loses Miller,Briere or Drury that could be tough.
The West will go to Anaheim or Nasville. I'm betting Nashville.
New Jersey vs. Nashville with the Cup coming east!!!!
(I'd be happy, though, to see any one of the teams become Stanley Cup Champs for the 1st time)

I believe the San Jose Sharks have what it takes to go all the way and win the Stanley Cup this year. They have a solid team with one of the best powerplays and one of the best 1-2 punch players in Marleau and Thornton. Cheech has finally regained his scoring touch and Michalek has been one of the better players in the league this past month. They have 2 starting goaltenders in Nabby and Vesa. They have depth, youth and size. They upgraded their defense by adding experience and leadership with Craig Rivet. They also added another awesome winger in Bill Guerin to add to their arsenal of attacks! They are on a strong winning streak right now with Nabokov just scorching hot, and they will put it all together to try and win the Stanley Cup.

Im a diehard Pens fan and i have watched almost every single game since the early 90s. Im not jumping on the bandwagon, but they do have a good shot. However, their experience is going to hurt them. Look for them to lose to NJ whenever they face off. Canucks and Senators, with Canucks winning in 6.

I have it on good authority that the team that wins 16 games in the post season will win the cup.
