You may even want to be tested (as well as your partner) for your RH factors beforehand so you can start the medication early if you are not compatible.

you will want to be sure that every thing is a-okay. S/he will get you started on prenatals. I think its important to have open communication with your doc. He can give you tips and pointers, that sometimes the internet cant provide.

it's always a good idea to see a doctor just to make sure you're healthy and will have a healthy baby. it's not absolutely necessary, just a precaution.
