Ok, i work in a flower shop part time, but with every holiday that comes it seems like i work there full time. my boss and her husband are really nice people and they treat me as one of their own. I've been working there for six months now and feel like i need to move on and concentrate on school and do more community work. How should I tell my boss I want to leave?

You did a good job here, all you need to do is explain it as you did. You appreciate the job and the time you spent working at the shop and with her and her family, but you need more time to concentrate on your studies and want to do some volunteer work, and feel it is time to move on. Offer to stay a reasonable period of time for them to find a replacement (2 weeks).

Best of luck to you

just be honest and let them know that you need to concentrate more on your school work and do more community work and thank them for the time that you have worked there telling them the true and don't lie or up and quit cause you will never know when you need to put them down for a good reference for another job

Just like that- what you wrote. Tell them thank you for giving you agreat opportunity to work for them, but you need to focus on school and your community service. What boss would be upset that you want to go to school?
