. . . to the story of a woman who has had an abortion and is OK with it? And have tried to listen respectfully and without bias?

I'm just curious. I've talked to many people who oppose abortion, but they admit to never having practical experience with it or have never talked to anyone who had an abortion and didn't regret it. So, I'm wondering if there's anyone out there who has really listened.

i have listened to both sides. women who really think they made the best choice and women who regretted it. i have tried to make as thorough a study in regarding to this subject as i possibly can. i have been studying it for five years and am barely scratching the surface of it. i have also tried to be as open minded to both sides and have attended both pro choice and pro life events. it is hard to get in both sides and talk to people but if you are determined you can do it. also there are a lot of books out there written as studies by women who have had abortions on both sides. i don't know the name of them right now but i know they exist. i know it isn't easy to play both sides of this debate but i think in order for anyone to have a true grasp of what they believe, they need to look at both sides equally and without fault and critique.

I've known women who have had abortions and have been OK with their decision, even years later after having time to dwell on it. It would be irrational to say that all women who have an abortion will eventually regret their decision. I've never felt or thought that people in favor of allowing women to have abortions are simply evil or lacking in intelligence.

As a probation officer for many years, I met many people who did something to their own advantage, sometimes at great cost to their victims. Usually, they were OK with it. That didn't make it right in their situations either.

Don't expect logic responses. There's been many cases of those outside of abortion clinics protesting getting abortions then going out and protesting again! It's crazy.

No one knows their true opinion on abortion until whether or have one or not personally impacts their life.

No one who's had an abortion and was ok with it has ever spoken to me, but the fact that they were ok with it doesn't make it right, it just means that they have no empathy for the child they killed. To me that signifies a worse problem, bc they need God to instill them with compassion for their unborn child that they murdered. Being ok with murdering someone doesn't make the act itself ok. It just means you have no empathy.

I'm prochoice, but hopefully you'll let me take a shot at this.

Many abortion opponents classify abortion as murder. If I spoke with someone who had committed murder and didn't regret it, I wouldn't change my views on murder.
