They've got all week to do their shopping. Why can't they go in the week and leave Saturday's for working people?

Dead simple my dear, what is the point in me going shopping during the week. It's much too quiet and no queues. No fun at all me and the old queen would rather tun out on a Saturday just to annoy all you workers. Seriously though why do you assume that old means retired. I am 65 and the wife 68, we both work voluntarily to try to put a bit back in to society in return for the many blessings we have had. Please try to be a bit more tolerant , I am sure you would enjoy life more.

Maybe they enjoy the hustle and bustle of weekend shopping treating it like a day out in town, and prefer it to shopping in the week when mums with screaming babies are at the checkout and in the cafe afterwards. The other point is maybe some prefer to draw their pension on a Friday afternoon when there isn't a great long queue and plan their shopping trip for the next day.
I can't wait till you are old and have nothing else to do but moan about other people, you'll be a bundle of laughs for your neighbours.

I used to think this as well until I stopped work and then found that Saturday is usually when all the supermarkets do their best bargains, reduce prices, discount their stuff by 90% in the afternoon as they don't want to hold it over until Monday. So that may be the reason .... however, why don't you do your shopping in an evening when the supermarkets are empty? I sometimes shop at my local Tesco at 10pm or later - easy to park right next to the entrance, aisles are empty and you don't have 'trolley wars' with other shoppers. Try it, might save your sanity ....

There's no law against older people shopping on a Saturday, good luck to them. As their days of partying are long over, it's probably their only excuse to get out of the house on the weekend.

Absolutely. I think anyone over 60 should be put to sleep, just to leave more space for you young working people. Old people are so annoying and slow. We don't need them any more. They should all stay indoors and do gardening or knitting and keep well away from anywhere where younger working people need to whip around freely to buy food.
How dare they enter busy supermarkets for working people.

Why should they not? Who are you to tell people when to go shopping? Why don't you shop on Sundays and leave Saturdays to the pensioners?

They can go shopping whenever they like. Most people do their shopping on Saturday---in fact, it's so much a part of our culture that we named the day of the week after it in Cherokee (Unadodaquidena, or "when everyone goes out.")

Another thing that's part of our culture is respecting elders. Your attitude toward the elderly is VERY offensive.
