I'm afraid that I've had to go to foreign press and the Internet to get current and accurate information. What I've heard through the corporate media smells a lot like a successful propaganda machine. Is the "war on terror" something out the movie "V for Vendetta: ?

"In May 2004, Attorney General John Ashcroft warned that al Qaeda could "hit hard" in the next few months and said that 90 percent of the arrangements for an attack on U.S. soil were complete. "

As he spouts talking points from such brilliant contemporary minds as Bill O'Reily, Ann Coulter and Jerry Fallwell, he fails to see the "big picture".

Thinking that this clash of civilizations can be solved through military means is a dangerous and daft thought.

Instead of pointing fingers and brandishing everyone that subscribes to liberal ideology as stupid, my predcessor would do well to put down the American flag for a minute and pick up a history book.

Those who fail to heed the lessons of history, are doomed to repeat it. The current administration is learning that lesson the hard way.

if the democrats have their way with cut and run...youll have a real war on your hands all right. al qaeda will come to this country in a minute if they feel they can get away with it. Clinton ignored the problem for eight years as it got progressively worse. Liberals now look at villifying bush and the first legitimate response this country has had as a way to mask the power grab from the "razor thin" mandate of 06. lets hope the liberals wake up soon and realize al qaeda is real or god help us all.
