listen to some calming music. lay down on your bed, close your eyes and imagine how you want your life to be. Don't think negative, only think positive.

Take a walk. Feel the swing of your arms, feel the blood rush to your fingertips. Feel the texture of the pavement underneath your toes, through your shoes.
Walk a little faster than your normal shuffle. Walk with a purpose, to get the the next corner, the next stoplight.
Just walk, and watch. As thoughts rise up through your mind, re-focus on the crunch of the pavement under your toes. Feel the light sweat on your back.
Try and walk for half an hour if you can. Longer if you have time.
And if you start doing this evey other day, or every week on the same day at the same time, you will get many benefits. Godd luck.

To tell you the truth, when I want to clear my head I either play AGE OF EMPIRE II on the computer (created my own scenario) or I do something lese. For example, when I am writing books and need to have a break to clear my head, I just go and do some renovations on the house, and that helps me to clear my mind and start fresh again.
I never take tablets or other of that kind of stuff.

Here are some suggestions that work for me:
* Walking
* Meditation
* Prayer
* Listening to Jazz or smooth R&B
* Playing games on the computer
* Relaxing with a cup of "java" at a coffee shop
* Cleaning
* Making something (pillows, bookshelf, etc.)
* Taking a long drive through the country or somewhere equally as peaceful
* Talking to a good and trusted friend or family member

Take a decongestant -- oh, wait a minute. Wrong category. To clear your mind, I'd recommend deciding what you want to think about and deliberately concentrating on these things. Trying to empty your mind is pretty futile since it was never designed to be a total blank. If your thoughts bother you, teach yourself to concentrate on other things.
If you're Christian, please email me for further suggestions that are only for Christians. They don't make sense to (and may be extremely difficult or even impossible for) non-Christians, so there's no use sharing them with you if you're not one.

sleep! or watch tv - that takes your mind off everything else. meditating is also meant to clear your head, but i've never tried it, so wouldn't know.
