you wont find a post player with his skills and potential anytime soon, there will always be good 2 guards and scoring forwards but you cant teach big...they will probably take Oden if he comes out, he should be productive once he gets regular minutes but will probably show improvement in his second and third years...

They need Oden. Right now, Al Jefferson is all by his lonesome in the paint. Kendrick Perkins is a slug. Durant will be a perimeter player. The Celts have plenty of those (Pierce, Szczerbiak, Gomes, West, Allen, Green). If Oden is gone when they draft, I'm sure they'll happily take Durant because he's going to be an extraordinary talent, and they'll move players around to accomodate him and the playing time he'll need. But the bottom line is, with a real center, the Celtics could contend immediately.
A trade is definitely a possibility. They need a point guard. Telfair was a disappointment, Rondo might be more suited as a backup, and West is more of a shooter.
But, if I were the Celtics, and I had the choice, I'd draft Oden and not look back.

Oden. he is a tru center, he averages 3 BLKS PER GAME has outstanding defense and in a year or two will get outstanding offense. The complete player. A very rare ocasion. Also a great rebounder.

they need a veteran. oden will get killed by Shaq, Yao, KG and other 7 footers.
