What qualification and atributes do you need to become an astronauts? If selected, How long is the training before a mission? Its is true that you need to be a fighter pilot in some cases..just intrested

There are many different skills needed to complete a space mission. There is no way that a single individual could possibly take care of them all. For that reason the skills are divided up and specialists are the primary responsible person for each task. There is always a second person that is trained and ready to perform any required task.

Tip on being a UK astronaut... Move to America or Europe and get citezenship their because we have no manned space programm (if you are young enough complain lots to MPs and suchlike and get it changed before you are too old!)
