I use the foam that you put on your carpets that is for in between vacuums. It is safe for animals and helps make the house smell nice.

You are trying to cover an odor.
If you want to get rid of the source of the problem, there is a terriffic series of enzymes (not chemical) that will"eat away the organic matter causing the odor"
We have 5 cats and a dog, our house is for sale and not one person could notice we even have pets.
The product is Airex 66, it is distributed thru commercial cleaning supply houses, and does not need a license to be applied. It is around $25/gallon in concentrate, and that will probably last you a year or so.

Seriously - try fresh air for a couple of days. Put a box fan in one window and a small opening in all the others and suck out all the accumulated odors for a couple of days and your place will be much easier to deodorize. No product will overcome the incense, candle smoke, citrus, oil smoke, powders, etc. that have accumulated.

Once a week I neutradol the carpets (£1 from Poundland) by sprinkling it over, leaving for a few minutes then hoovering up. I use sophisticat litter which absorbs odour and the box is only cleared once a day. I use a Haze 'airmatic' on the wall set every 36mins which gives the house a nice fresh smell, they are on offer at Sainsburies and WIlkinsons at the moment.

Why don't you just keep the litter box clean!!!!!!
Instead of trying to cover up the odor get rid of it.
If you want to know where all of the cat piss is then you will have to go out and buy a black light. Turn out all of the lights and the cat piss will glow nuclear green.
If you have male cats get them fixed there is nothing worse than male cat spray smell.
I have a parrot( who is very messy) a cat who is 10. He is fixed and goes to the bathroom outside
And a 15 year old dog who I have trained to never potty in the house. If he has the shitz he will go on the tile in front of the door.
All of thoes animals and my house never smells like any kind of animal. You have to take care of them bathing , cleaning feeding ect. They are just like kids they can't do it for themselves so you have to do it for them.

this may sound silly, but when you vacuum, put baking soda on the carpet, and vacuujm it up. it's like in your fridge, it's a deodorizer. no scent, but then the plugins might work to give a scent. :)
