won't be able to hook my PS3 to the internet for a while, but i wanted to know if the PS3 is still a good console, worth getting if i can't get it online? I don't really want to play online against other people and i can update it through a USB flah drive.
Does anybody here have there PS3 offline? If so, what is it like?.....thanks

Yes the PS3 is still good offline. I have a 60GB PS3 and I enjoy it even though I can't go online with it yet. I've updated my PS3 through the USB drive as well. The only reason why I would want to hook up the PS3 to the Internet would be to download free demos or buy downloadble games but that's it. Online gameplay with other gamers really isn't a big deal to me though. As long as Sony comes out with great games I will be satisfied.

I have a ps3 online and offline, obviously, and it is still a really good console, though without online you won't be able to interact with others, but you still get all the good games, and every thing,so it's not all bad. plus you still get the use of all the other features, such as music, video, blu ray, pictures, and all that, and you can do allot on it. but it is still much better online, it's like having a gaming computer, but without an internet connection, you're left out of the best part

I dont have PS 3 off line...but without going online, I believe that console is still the best in the world. Look at the graphic of the PS 3! It's stunning!Excellent!Besides, PS 3 now will be better if you play it with High Def TV. Have you ever seen Metal Gear Solid 4 trailers?
