Element Z is a yellow solid that melts at about 100 degrees celcuis and does not conduct electricity. What type of bond hold the element's atoms together? Explain.

This is undoubtedly sulphur, which actually consists of rings of 8 S atoms, all covalently bonded together. There are no freely moving charged particles, so sulphur doesn't conduct electricity.

It is sulphur and is usually preset as cyclic S8 molecules. It is held together by covalent bonds.
