I have tried twice to use my shapooer on the Kirby vacuum and was not successful I KNOW it works they demonstrated it with the same cleaner. I have called the main kirby # and received no help, they gave me the number of the people I purchased it from and I never recieved a return call from them. Is there someone out there who can help me with assembly (I feel I am doing this correctly) or walk me through the process? Thanks in advance!!

I am fairly certain that the belt is going over the metal rod, otherwise it would not be picking up dog hair, correct? IT foams a little while I am trying to use it but, not near as much as when they did the demonstration and it does not foam up all that great. I am useing strictly kirby products and it goes through a tank VERY quickly. I couldn't even do one small room with 2 tanks full.

I have a Kirby,it would be very hard to explain here how to do it. Actually I lost my instructions a long time ago. I don't use the shampooer often but when I do, I just figure it out on my own, it will only hook up one way. Just keep trying, Good Luck.

the trick is getting the belt over the shaft if this isn't connected right on the head you won't be able to shampoo. when you put the head on is the belt going over the metal shaft? like in the sign of infinity (figure 8) which means that the dial must be turned. if not then try giving us more info on what you are doing and maybe we can help you figure this out. my parents had me do all the attachment's for them lol.

I had the same problem this is why I am telling you it is in how you are getting the head on, you get little foam and lots of water right? try taking the head off turn the dial half way so that is is twisted looking make sure the shaft goes through!! This is the most important part you should use only one tank for a big room

You may be losing your sud screen if it is putting out small amounts of foam.
Take and put the tray on the same way you would the head of your machine, once it is on and you have the belt engaged, fill your tank with luke warm water, add 1 cap full of solution for each line you filled. Lower your head and turn the shampooer on and go at a pace that allows the foam to go on evenly. If that doesn't work and you have the tray on the correct way look where the suds comes out of and pull that off and check and you will see a small screen and make sure it has not come off. Lots of time we think we did put the tray on correct, but we didn't. Just try all your steps again and make sure you don't trun it until you have it locked in. That way once you have locked the tray on and you turn it to green then the belt is engaged.
