Two year olds don't worry about background stuff, but they are easily confused.

Just say "mama's belly" and they'll be satisfied.

"From mommy's tummy". That's what I told my son when he asked and that was sufficient. If that wasn't enough, he would have asked another question. Don't give more information than they can process.

Telling a child that babies come from storks is not a good idea. Lying is not a beneficial.

I always think it's a terrible idea to lie to kids. When they find out the truth, and that mommy and daddy lied to them, it's very difficult for them.

Tell them the truth. That they come from inside mommy's bellies. Show him/her some photos of when mommy was pregnant with him/her. No need to get into other details.

I would explain that since I had just met a two-year-old baby that is capable of asking a question, with more than three words in it, that he is more closely experienced with where he had been in the last two years. Thus, I would want to then say: Why you axeing me, yo?

I have a two year old and I am expecting my second child. She has asked me this. Usually they only want a basic answer and you don't have to be too elabrate. Just say baby in belly. She says ok, and keeps on playing.

dont do that. just tell them that they come from mommy, that should satisfy them for now. then just keep it age appropriate. I have never told my kids that babies come from storks, or cabbage or any of that. just tell them a little at a time as they grow older. but dont lie to them...

I told my daughter the truth about how she was made and I showed her an age appropriate book so she could grasp the concept better.she was 4 when she asked and she hasn't asked since so I think I did it right.
