First use this free tool to properly identify the mainboard. It will give you the vendor name, model and revision.

CPU-Z is a freeware that gathers information on some of the main devices of your system :

Then use that info to do a search on Yahoo. You will probably get many vendor sites as results but among them will surely be a site with specs & layout photos.

If its an aftermarket branded motherboard like Asus, Abit, ECS, etc the manufacturers website should have a copy of the users manual which will include a graphical layout of the board and label each of the connections. If you have a board out of a branded PC like a Dell/HP/Sony etc it will be much harder to find unless it was in the users manual (which is iffy at best, I have seen some where it is) if this is the case you can usually get the service manuals for the PC but it will likely cost you money to buy them.

Also many branded PCs include motherboards that are not actually proprietary to that PC, they're just aftermarket motherboards with a different BIOS and the name hidden. Often there are still markings on the board that tell you what it is and you can use the users manual from the company that made it for that board or a similar one based on the same architecture.

Or look up your puter at www.tigerdirect.com. if yours is a late model, they sell motherboards and show thier layouts. you might find yours there.
