I am going through a nasty divorce after 6 yrs of marriage.I cant afford a lawyer right now so my parents are paying and they picked the lawyer who does not really explain much.My relationship with hubby is not good he cheated on me, i cheated on him in retaliation we stayed together for money. He cheated on me at least 3 times even got the ex.wife pregnant. I had long standing on an off affair with an ex.bf that i am 100% sure he is father of my 3 yr old son because i was seperated from my hubby when son was concieved. My hubby knowing son was not his put his name on b-certificate anyway but currently wants his name off.My daughter 5 yrs old will also be getting a paternity test to see if she is my hubbys or not i have no idea.My lawyer said to have the paternity test done (no choice)this weekend at a private clinic instead of going through courts which would be cheaper?

Well we usually should listen to the advise our lawyer gives. He may even be right about this since your in doubt who is the Father. But if you can't afford to get this test done through a private clinic then tell him so and allow the court to do it. Child support will do it for free if your husband contest that the kids are his. Your in a mess right now and I hope once all this is over you have learned a good lesson and try not to make the same mistakes again.

Your attorney should be explaining everything to you.Insist that he does. You need to know where you stand and understand everything.
If you want to have the testing done through the courts then that's what you do and you tell this lawyer so.He's being paid to work for you and should be doing what your wishes are.Not dictating to you.
It will be good to know who these children's fathers are and I hope you've learned a lesson from all this. The children are the ones who usually end up suffering from the mistakes adults have made and they are the innocent ones.
Important to get your lawyer to explain fully what is going on.
Good Luck to you and your children.

Just insist that you want it done through courts as you don't have the money to get it done any other way, at the end of the day the attorney is being paid to work for you and your best interests!

well you have to get the ducks in a row before you can plan the attack. You have to find out who fathered your children . Doesn't seem fair to the kids that they wouldn't know who their father is. In the future, stay faithful and you wont have this much to deal with. Cheaters never prosper.

It's cheaper to keep your legs closed and take the pill or even better get your tubes tied so you don't ruin any more childrens lives.
You and him deserve each other.

At this point it shouldn't be a matter of what is cheaper, but a matter of which is more dignified and bearable. Protect the children.
