I am just curious about why many companies have their headquarters in California. What are the benefits of having headquarters in California?

nah californiais not the largest state,california just has an ever-increasing population since the gold rush in 1850,texas is the largest state everybody want to be in california,and where people want to be is where more business is ,have u forgotten, "control the supply increase the demand"

Because California is the largest state in the US. Companies locate to where the people are.

Not nearly as many as 10 years ago...there is a net outflux of corporations from California of 1500 corporations per year due to the extremely high taxes levied on business....Colorado is now referred to as Simi Valley East.
