I looked it up and it looks exellent. The great thing is that it doesn't have Vista on it. Vista still has some problems in it and a friend of mine got a new computer with vista that started freezing and messing up. Once they fix up vista, and if you want to upgrade, you should upgrade the ram to 1GB. 512MB of ram is the minimum requirement for Vista and you won't get impressive results with it. 512Mb is good enough for XP though, for XP only needs 256Mb as a minimum requirement. Also, upgrading to 1GB of ram is going to cost you more than someother laptops, because it has 2 slots, which are both filled with 256Mb giving you 512 MB. If it had 2 slots with 1 512Mb and the other slot empty it would save you money because you would only have to buy another 512Mb ram, rather than taking out the 2 256Mb rams and replacing them with 1 1Gb or 2 512mb ram. But other than the ram its a great computer, and it won't be a problem unless you want to upgrade to vista. I have a Gateway desktop and its fine, i haven't had any problems with it (exept for a couple viruses that i brought to my self, but they are long gone and had nothing to do with the computer). If you do not need the portability of a laptop, then i STRONGLY encourage you to buy a desktop, it will be cheaper and stronger than a laptop. It is also a good thing that it comes with Microsoft office because Office will cost you about $150. One last thing, this isn't a good computer if you want to do major gaming, but other than that, it will be great.

check out the after sales service before you buy any computer that is where it counts the most, and were you need them the most,
you may find that big box movers have not got a good reputation when it comes to after sales service... you could be hung on the phone of hours before you get through,
go onto their website get their service telephone No and ring them see how long it takes you to get a live person to talk to.
