I dont feel as if the government is doing what the people want. No, I dont feel represented. Its the rich verses the poor. By that I mean the politicians make more than the average American citizen, a true government of the people should make a wage that equals the median income for this country. After all, they VOLUNTEERED. The military volunteers but they dont make the big bucks like the stuffy necked pin heads in washington. Not to choose an aisle but the first seven on the list of richest governement officials are Democrats then I think four Republicans, a few more Dems then a wholecrap load more of Rep. Basically they get rich while we bust our asses making them so.

Don't feel represented by my member of congress - I am a dem living in a district that consistently votes 40% dem 60% repub. so for my whole life I have had a representative who says yeah, I hear you and "will consider your opinion when casting my vote" then votes straight party line after spouting some paternalistic party line platitudes. Instant runoff voting would be nice. Proportional representation would be nice. But two party system will not go for it.

No. The only ones who are represented are the corporate lobbyists who have millions of dollars to spend in Washington for special favors. This is how the war funding bill had a provision tacked into it for millions of dollars in subsidies for spinach growers. Special interests waving big wads of dollars get representation, the rest of us can go pound salt.

Not after reviewing the votes of our Congressmen concerning Iraq, two of them didn't even bother to vote.
Those were Michael Enzi from Wyoming and Johnson from SD.
