I am a middle school teacher. 99% of my students have a cell phone on them, and I think it's a great idea. In addition, I have a phone on my desk and a panic button behind me. It's sad but it's also a sign of the times we live in.

She's only 7 but I think I am going to let her have one of the ones where she can only call a couple numbers on it when she gets in middle school.Good question!

My children are in K,second, and fifth and do not have one.I will be getting one for my oldest,before he starts middle school.
