Yep and Americans should Know that Hilter, Stalin and every other dictator either had State approved religion or none, dictated to by the government and we should avoid that type of intrusion as being advocated by Sheila Jackson-Lee -TX in House Bill 254.

Read the Planks of Communism and World History on authoritarian governments. The idea was to Keep government out of religion and give religious groups and individuals legal redress in the government! Second Amendment. Rights!

Absolutely. Religion and politics are both volatile systems that often attempt to impose control over their constitutents.

They are dangerous enough individually (as history has shown over and over again). Mixed, they are explosive.

Which is why both Article VI and the 1st Amendment prohibit the mixing of religion and government. And why the Supreme Court has made the doctrine of separation of church and state part of federal case law since the late 1800s.
