As a long time smoker let me first say I would never recommend anyone start smoking or even casually smoke. It is harmful to your health, does stain your teeth and is expensive. For some people it is easy to quit, others it is an addiction that they never can shake.
Now with that said. I know all of the things I mentioned above. But I am sick of hearing poeple talk about smokers as if they are bad and evil people just because they smoke. Yes it is unhealthy to even have the occasional smoke you mentioned. But it is also unhealthy to have that occasional slice of pizza or the occasional alcoholic drink. There are things that non smokers do every day that are equally unhealthy but they are not frowned upon for what they do.

You've probably heard quite a lot already about the health issues involved in smoking, so I won't nag you about that. Let's talk about your breath, what is does to your teeth, and your wallet. You could benefit alot from the money you save from not buying cigaretts. Get a jar and watch your money grow every time you feel like buying cigaretts. Then take the money and a good mutual fund or if you want something a little more risky, buy stocks.
Cheers!

It is never OK to smoke cigarettes!! They are dangerous to your health, and a pack every once in a while just adds to the danger you face to contract cancer. If you only "need a smoke" once every two or so months, you can certainly do without and not feel deprived. Good luck.

Yes it is ok, but there are studies that show you are taking about 7 minutes off your life. However, my uncle has smoked for over 30 years and married a non smoker. Guess who died first? My aunt died of emphysema from 2nd hand smoke, so if you are around smokers already, nothing is really changing.

I started smoking the same way as you. Now, I'll be damned if I can quit. I smoked one once in a while and now it is every day. You should quit while you can.

thats very good! i mean at least you haven't reach the stage of being addicted and when u do so, that will be very hard to kick aside! if u feel stress and need to take a puff, try to force yourself to seek other healthy alternatives.

Only if the thought of possibly dying, in great and long-lasting pain from lung cancer, emphysema, or any of several other equally unpleasant diseases does not bother you, and you don't mind other people questioning your intelligence.
