I love my house! I`m very proud of it, so prepare yourself!!
I live in a small village in the countryside - i have a neighbour on one side and then I am surrounded by fields.
My house is a bungalow - and has a large, paved driveway leading up to the front with roses in the flowerbeds.
You enter through my kitchen, which is brick red and chrome - the floor is brick red quarry tile - with underfloor heating. i have a large double oven and glass fronted cupboards. The kitchen leads right through to the back garden, which has a moderate sized decked area, a built in bbq and a kidney-shaped lawn.
My living room is all neutral - large brown leather sofas, with beige and cream cushions and throws, a beige carpet and brown and beige curtains.
My bedroom is also neutral - but one wall is wallpapered with a red rose design, so we have picked the accent colour from that and have cushions and throws on the bed in red.
The spare room is all blue - a little boys room for one the grandkids come to stay.
My bathroom also has underfloor heating, a double-sized bath and an open shower - it is classed as a wetroom.
It took a long time to make it perfect, and i love it! I`m never moving!!!!

Location, location, no RAMPANT CRIME
That's my only criteria. I was brought up on a council estate and the house was fantastic - three large bedrooms, 2 toilets, HUGE lounge, garden, efficient heating/water etc, you could have taken that house and dropped it anywhere in the city and it would be admirable. I now live in a mid terrace, houses built c. 1900, heat loss like you've never known causing heating bills like you've never known! Shared back yard, bumper to bumper on street parking but you know when it rains it's beautiful round here. Looking up the hill on to the line of hippyfied back gardens going up the hill, it's really nice and comforting.

Yep, detatched 4 bed, converting the attic to 5th bedroom, so our eldest son can go up there! We're on a private road, really quiet. Big garden, the children are safe out there...
In a rapidly expanding village, but about a mile from the nearest town.

I live in a six bedroom, 400 yo stone farmhouse in a hamlet in Nth Bucks. I bought it as a restoration project 3 yrs ago, and it's been like living in a building site. I absoloutetly love the place, it has so much character and, when eventually finished, will be fantastic.

that's a tad simplistic yet no longer too a procedures off the mark. i'm what you could call a social liberal and a financial conservative: i could like an astonishing, modest abode in an astonishing community, no longer unavoidably a gated complicated to maintain out "riff-raff " yet somewhat an area to be happy with and to be 'a factor of' no longer 'aside from.' money would not resolve all issues, nor does it create all issues: that's how that's earned, how that's gathered and how that's used that concerns. And we will all in no way agree on those factors, yet ought to all of us attempt to be extra friendly approximately it?

Yes, my (parents) house is very pretty. We live in a 4bdr w/basment in the burbs. My room is the same size as a master bdr. I'm used to being pampered, so I am going to have to make a lot of money when I'm older. Or meet a rich guy! ;)

I live in an old farmhouse with lots of character, so therefore it is nice to me. Newer homes have no character and all look the same, especially those in the suburbs. I also have 45 acres, so I have a really big garden. Bigger than yours I bet!
