Yes, in Wisconsin we have a yearly emissions inspection required before you can re-register your license plates, but it depends on how old your car is. Not sure what the cutoff is but my husband has to have his tested and it's about 10 years old, while mine is still too new, it's a 2004.

Most of the counties in the state i live in do. Some counties are exempt because of the lack of population in that particular area.

yes we have safety and emissions inspection yearly, emissions is a big rip off, My own opinion.

no, but they do have random highway inspections, knock on wood, ive never been caught up in one yet.
