he's not dead. you know why he is a great wizard who prepared for almost anything. in the beginning of book six he told harry to keep his cloak of invisibility with him at all times and at the end he told harry to stay under the cloak no matter what happens. i believe that narcissa and bellatrix reveal voldermort plan to snape without them knowing about it.the plan for malfoy to kill dumbledore. i believe that both dumbledore and snape planned this scenario to save malfoy and to allow dumbledore to search for the horcrux without the responsibilities of being a headmaster and without voldermort being suspicious. and for harry to come into his power. its like the star wars syndrome. luke's path became clearer once obi wan died. so with the suppose it death of dumbledore and black who i still think is alive as well this will make harry study and take his roll as the choosen one seriously.

But he'll be able to contact Harry, as all the previous headmasters at Hogwarts have portraits in the headmasters study.
That's if Harry goes back to Hogwarts.
It seems he's going to try and find the horcruxes.

The origional dumbledore is dead alright. His name was Richard Harris and he died about 2 yrs ago.

as sad as it is i do believe he has passed. but i also believe that he will some how connect to harry and they will talk but in the meantime he is gone.
