I was had the same problem. I was itching all over but mostly on my hands and feet. I told my doctor and they did a whole lot of blood tests. It turned out to be cholestasis. A condition witch results in high levels of bile in the liver. The itching is worse at night or after eating fatty foods. Let your doctor know what is going on, it could be just stretching but it could also mean something a lot more serious. Good Luck!
Oh, and it is most common in the 3rd trimester!

Could be that you are retaining water and your skin is stretching. If its just your tummy, then thats thebaby growing. Nothing to worry about. Try using a mild lotion or baby oil to combat the itch.

Congradulations and good luck.

If it is constant and not just every few days it is something that my doctor called PUPS (not sure what that stands for) but I ended up on Benedryl the last 2 months of my pregnancy because of it. I would dig until I was raw! Benedryl is completely safe when pregnant.

It is horrible but normal if it is the palms of your hands or the soles of your feet however you need to inform your doctor or midwife as there is a condition where this is an indicator. I was terribly itchy through both my pregnancies I found a cool shower always worked to ease it.

best of luck with the baby

it could be, but more than likely it is because your skin is stratching to make room for the baby, i was the same way!
