What is Universal like?

I'm planning o going to Universal Studioes and I was wondering if it's fun.

I pretty much agree with the other answer. Universal is a lot of fun, if you like thrill rides. There really isn't as much for younger kids and anyone that doesn't like roller coasters as Disney has. If you love thrill rides, there really isn't much better an Orlando, the rides are a ton of fun.

Universal parks are a little smaller as well. I was at Universal Hollywood a few weeks ago, I only had a few hours there and had done everything before my time was up.


I think you will have a lot of fun, it is a great park, as long as you enjoy thrill rides. I would just plan on riding some rides more than once to fill up your time.

Universal is fun if you like coasters. Virtually every ride is a roller coaster called something else. The park is not as inspired as the Disney parks. Not a lot of "themes" going on. Just thrill rides. We grew tired of it but our boys like it. The crowd is very different than at Disney. More young adult males.

I went there by myself....just after christmas....a bit cold, but the cues were apparently better.

Some of the rides were quite cool (and I mean literally eg jurassic park waterride) and there is a variety I guess.
There are other options like looking through the studios....well sort of. but you can see where some things were filmed which is quite cool.
I can't compare to other parks like this really, but it has other things to do (side shows, etc) and food and there is a quite a variety of things to do (ie different types of rides)
