my guppy gave birth to 10 fry about 2 hrs ago what is the best food to feed them liquid food or flakes i crushed up flakes until they were flower and gave the frys that but i dont think they ate it

I think one idea they say can work is to boil something like banana peel, then wait until the banana-saturated water cools to the temperature of the aquarium and put a bit in. At least I think people feed brine shrimp that way, so it may work for baby guppies too. It might also be a good idea to let the water sit for about a day before putting it in the tank, because I'm not sure if the boiling process will get rid of the copper and the chlorine and so on.

Also keep in mind, if the babies are only two hours old they may still be using up food that was stored in their bodies while they were inside their mother. Also, if you have algae or water fleas in the aquarium then the baby guppies may simply eat that rather than waiting for you to put special food in.

I hope you took the frys out and put them in a seperate nursery.The others will eat them.Mine eat reg flakes broken a bit.

Crushed flake is perfectly ok. No need to grind it quite as small as you did, maybe more like cornmeal than flour. It my take them a day or so to realize it's food, but they will eventually eat it. Frozen baby brine shrimp is another excellent food for them.

ReallY? Well my guppie fish gave birht before and they ate the flakes. Their mother was also seperated from the tank with them.

I would keep feeding them crushed flake food

there is a special fry food you beed to get you can get it at any pet store. but if you havent already you must take the adults out of the tank ... they WILL eat the fry.
