No I don't care but it is interesting that it does seem that his campaign wants to hide her maybe to better appeal to African Americans who have a true link to the evil of slavery in this country while his only link due to his father's family only recent move here is to slave owners through his mother's side of the family.
The interesting point is that we still worry about this. But for all the comments about his being the first black with a good chance of being president, Clinton being the first "black president" due to "feeling their pain". Why don't we all research Life magazine from the Eisenhower campaign era and find pictures of Ike's grandmother. I heard this from a noted African-American who is works in the diversity area. Republicans at the time hid the fact that Ike's grandmother was either black or part black. because no Republican or Dem could of been elected with that issue in the 50's. Life's publication of a picture showing this was re-released without this picture. Maybe that is why IKE for a man of the era did do much to push civil rights in the military and in education as he did in the Little Rock incident. He knew the scars that racism can inflict. If I can say I am part Italian because my grandfather was from there then wasn't IKE our first Black president.

Barak Obama cannot represent the descendents of the African slaves since he is from Kenya. And part white
No Black on this continent is 100% black.
Africa never formed a government of its own for milleniums, it is when the white man went there that the blacks began to succeed.
When they were brought here, they were slaves, and stayed slaves, but began to mix with caucasian blood, then began to become as the whites in every way. They turn white in a few generations.
Anyone can see that the blacks never had an identity of their own and that is why they are doing all they can to become as the whites, so they can have a piece of the American pie, yet still claiming to be proud to be black.
I state only facts.
I think the Blacks are a beautiful people, but when they act like the whites, they lose their God given beauty.

What should matter is this: What sort of programs does he want? What is his political philosophy? What does he want to accomplish as president?
I don't care if a man or woman is part Martian. Will the person be ethical, consistent, pragmatic, and not ruin the country?
The left is as rabid and judgmental as they claim the right is.
What about all of us in the middle, not wanting the extremes to ruin us all.
The answer is not left or right, but pragmatic libertarianism and truly caring about individual liberty and helping of people because they are people, not because they fit some label or other.

Who cares..nobody is going to vote for him anyway, because of his platform not color! He is being an equal opportunity to run as a citizen of the United States.
Just as a footnote: Nobody is completly anything anymore, most people on the planet are mixed!

You know, I was thinking about this.....perhaps it's a good thing that he is mixed. For one thing, he didn't have anything to do with who his parents were, and secondly, there are not many of us who can hail to one bloodline......I am more concerned about his love for people, his method and his movements. I pray that he will not allow anyone to push him into the abyss of evil speech against the other runners. I also hope that his camp is "clean". Unfortunately, having observed much of the attempts of black candidates, they are looked upon with much more scrutiny. He has already revealed "any" information they might want to 'dig' up on him, so hopefully, the campaign this time will be free of lashing and bashing.....The people are tired of liars and selfish people on the hill - we need change and quickly!

Doesn't matter to me one way or another. But to others with small minds, I guess it does. Most Blacks, despite their coloring have white blood in them. In fact many Blacks could either 'pass' or have been 'passing' all their lives.
For that matter, some whites have Black blood in them. What does it matter. For Obama it's his politics that matter, not his grandmother or his coloring. Actually he has very beautiful coloring.

It doesn't mean anything to me. I don't care about what color he is. I haven't heard anybody say they supported Obama because he is black, or half black or green or blue. You are the one making a big deal of his race.
