conservatorship - responsibility for preserving the resources of something, or preserving it as a resource

It's "conservatorship." The common meaning is the responsibility to conserve, or to protect the value of, or the existence of, an asset.

In law, a conservator is a person or legal entity (like a bank or trust) whose responsibility it is to handle an incompetent person's estate (money, property) or to do so for a person who voluntarily cedes that authority to another in a legal proceeding. Occasionally, the term is used interchangeably with "guardianship," but for the most part guardianship involves assuring the physical and medical care of a person.
