I hate myself more than others hate me.

When I was young
I never needed anyone
And makin love was just for fun
Those days are gone

Livin alone
I think of all the friends Ive known
But when I dial the telephone
Nobodys home

All by myself
Dont wanna be
All by myself anymore
All by myself
Dont wanna live
All by myself anymore

Hard to be sure
Some times I feel so insecure
And love so distant and obscure
Remains the cure

All by myself
Dont wanna be
All by myself anymore
All by myself
Dont wanna live
All by myself anymore

Try to cheer up. B's are okay. I work with people who got some C's and they're doing okay in life. Just keep up the grades. Chances are, your lousy feelings are causing your grades to suffer more than anything else. Consider going to a state college, or even junior college (but with Bs you can get into state colleges). What you need to do is find your social circle or scene. Usually, the "rejects" have their own universe of things they're into. Back in the old days, it was science fiction, punk, goth, diy, computers, skating, surfing, art, poetry, etc. You could run cross country too, that was a weirdo sport. Now all that stuff is kind of mainstream or even popular, so there must be new things that an old guy like me knows nothing about. You don't need a load of friends, just good friends. If you have interests, go and join organizations for these interests. Spend your weekends going to these things. Join a storytelling organization, or maybe find out of there's an open-mic where you can meet other writers. Hopefully, there's bus service. If there's a spot where people hang, go and hang out and try to meet people. Take a camera and ask people if you can take their pictures. Take a notebook and write stories. You can't count on school to get you what you want.

Its hard to reverse a trend like that but take heed it can be done. If your doing poorly in school just try to focus a little harder on the work and not so much about how you feel about yourself. The problem with depression is it infiltrates ever aspect of our lives and makes everything look and feel bad. This is not something that will last it just seems that way. Look for good things in your life. And don't be to afraid to ask for help, Professional or just friends

remind yourself of the blessings in your life. remind yourself of all the good things you have done. Sometimes we fail. Thats part of life. It doesnt make you any less of a man. What defines you is how you react during these hard times. So you failed a sesmester. Fight your way back. Also know that depression amongst college students is very common. Go to a dr, get medication if it is needed. Take one day at a time, and lay off yourself, we all mess up , if you didnt you wouldnt be human.

Wow! You write a nice poem. I wrote a few poems - one may be kind of cute - the other a little too dark. If you want to read a poem or prose (don't know which), go to:

First, failing or not in college will not end you life. Do what you can and get on with life. Keep busy.

If you find some activity that gives your life fulfillment then most of your troubles will be finished.

Some Christians find great fulfillment in preaching the gospel. Because they help others finding the road to salvation, it gives great satisfaction.

Or, help out volunteering at hospitals, or such activities that enrich your own life by helping others.

I have felt like that before

Love is never "just for fun", shouldn't be anyway
Its serious business

Also, maybe get some friends who answer the phone.

You are not all by yourself in this world, ever. You demonstrated that you know this by reaching out on this forum. Don't hate yourself. There is no reason to. Everything that is brought to us in life teaches us a lesson. It is evident by the emotional struggle that you're going through, that you are facing a significant lesson. Figure out what the lesson is that you are supposed to learn from this. Is it to learn patience with yourself? Is it to learn perseverance despite frustration and adversity? Is it to learn better who you are all by yourself? You have the great opportunity right now to build your inner strength; to develop greater self-confidence.

Why are you failing college? Is it that the subjects you're studying don't interest you? Is that you haven't put forth the effort needed to learn? If it is lack of effort on your part, try again. If it seems that the subjects don't interest you, look at alternative classes to take. The only failure is you giving up on yourself. You don't have to do this all by yourself. Ask your classmates if you can study with them. You'll learn faster and you'll have a social life with them as well.

All are alone only if they feel so ; All are with good company if they think so .
