...in the sense that it is a portable storage device like any other & if your PC has a card reader.
So far as using it as a boot device like a flash drive .... that would depend on your PC's BIOS & whether or not it features that option (most do).

Hi. I have the original CF card that came with my camera, 16MB, and use it to transport anti-virus and spyware programs for others. So, yes, an SD would act just like any other drive.

there are IDE , SATA and PCMCIA adaptors for using CF for HD. Bios sees it just as a regular HD .
