Well, evolution is pretty straight forward and neutral. I wouldn't call it kinder so much as it simply doesn't enforce any emotional connotations.
I don't see god the same way most people do, so I don't really have an answer to how I feel about a god that hates anyone.

Faith is a wonderful thing, but life here on Earth is a known quantity...if we are to be judged here on Earth, i do not want to be in a heaven filled with people who think that an acceptance of a God is more important that good works here on Earth. It wouldn't be paradise to me...i don't want to go this place...i would rather raise my children to enjoy what they have and to protect Earthly creatures than to have a knowledge that there is a fanciful place other than the reality we have. Kindness doesn't get you into their heaven. A Christian might be kind, but it is more to do with his humanity than his religion. I don't trust a person's value system if he places a higher value on a creature in outer space than the Earth he lives on. Evolution is not progress, but a survival mechanism. Progress is using a hindsight from the impossible vantage point of the future...we are more advanced than we were 200,000 years ago, but it is not progress...only survival

There is nothing in the theory of evolution that precludes the existence of a god. Evolution explains development of species, not their ultimate origin. There are many many people (including the Catholic Church) which have no problem believing in evolution and the existence of God.

I read genesis as a beautiful interpretation as man's plight of knowing from right and wrong having once eaten from the tree of knowledge, or, become self aware. There is grace in this telling. Evolution occurs because of random "mistakes" in a species genetic code take hold as a result of a species being more fit for a particular environment, it, is not progress, in the sense you are using. To me, both, genesis, and evolution, are beautiful to behold.

God doesn't hate anything except evil (sin). God loves His creation unconditionally. God loves Himself totally, Man and Angels to the extent of their greater good. God is ultimate justice and mercy. Consequences to sin are absolute justice. Mercy is absolute, exemplified in forgiveness and salvific history. Christ becoming Man and saving us from eternal damnation is the supreme sacrifice and evidence of this Love. What happens to Angels and Man is directly proportional to their love or lack of love. In other words it is our own doing. Evolution just speaks to the basic “physical” not the spiritual changes related to Creation. There is no conflict between the facts of evolution and, True religion and its reality. Hope this clears up things for you. Thanks.

Not sure I like where you're going with this... but,
I think evolution should stand on its' own merits and not be something people choose because of warm fuzzy feelings.

Only people who have no religion believe that God hates you. Which is ironic because they don't believe in God to start with.

I wish I was further down the evolutionary ladder, I'm always thinking at certain times "I wish I had another hand".
