what is the probability of staying together long term for someone who gets pregnant from a drunken one night stand and they are not married obviously and they live in different countries and see each other only 2 months a year? can it work out successfully if they marry? my friend is in this situation, he lives in the states, but is from brazil and got this girl pregnant when he was in brazil recently.

Hi friend,

my opinion is that they should marry as soon as possible. Its not at all a problem that they were meeting two months in a year even people are meeting after two years of time its all depend upon how faithful they are with each other.in the future situstion may change and they can stay together.may god bless.

regards
friend

The question here is, is the guy behaving honorably?

Is he sending child support?

If the kid is his, he is responsible too.

Being drunk is no excuse. They were both drunk.
It's not the baby's fault that his parents were foolish.
The kid still has to live the rest of his/her life.

How could anyone stay with a guy who would abandon his own kid? What kind of a relationship could anyone have with so callous a person?

Uhm, it's not likely at all. Now, if you were talking about staying together with another man or whatever, maybe, but this? Come on! Just because he knocked you up doesn't mean that he gives a shite about you or even that he should.

He should support his child financially and any other way he can - but unless he's going to move to Brazil, or she's coming here - I don't see how it could work.

not likely ,but strange things do happen. how does the guy feel about the girl, or is it the fact that now he has proven to the world he s a man. dont marry just because you feel its the right thing to do

It's possible. But it would definately take a whole lot of effort and hard work, by both people.
