I did NOT get drunk last night, but if I did I'm 22 flippin' years old. Heck, I'll be 23 in six days. If I want to get drunk, I can. Of course I've got brains enough to get a babysitter if the mood to drink strikes me.
Also, I had a terrible day yesterday mostly because someone was so mean and disrespectful to my child which is a serious no-no for any parent. I have the right to get upset about it as well.
Third, this is NOT my kids picture. It's actually me. But I do have kids and I do drink on occassion and I do get sad.
I fail to see how that's pathetic since I am a GROWN WOMAN.
Thank you, DAN.
Wouldn't you just know his name was DAN anyway?

I have no problem with parents getting drunk, as long as they get a babysitter first....and everyone gets sad...which is fine...as long as they dont take it out on their kids..its not pathetic...its life.

Great question... great point. There's nothing wrong with a parent letting loose once in a while when the situation is right and the kid isn't exposed to it. After mine went to bed last night I had 4 beers and sat here on Y!A. I'm 24. I've even been to play groups where the kids play and the moms have a, (as in 1), glass of wine. I've been on Y!A for quite some time and my "MOMMY" screen name has gotten me in trouble PLENTY of times. It's retarded. Sometimes it gets to me but usually I just write it off as ignorance because these people obviously don't have children. So you didn't get drunk last night? WHY NOT?! There's nothing wrong with it when the kids are in bed... I mean getting completely smashed might not be a good idea if there's not another adult in the house just in case a fire breaks out or whatever but get all warm and fuzzy... relax - give yourself a break - you deserve it mama! I deserve it too... I'm gonna grab a beer. (It's Saturday night here... why shouldn't I have a beer or four?).

I believe you thoroughly. My little ones are basically 5, 6 and eight, and in spite of the fact that we've not long previous into it as deeply as what you basically suggested, we've already began beginning up those traces of verbal replace. They comprehend that no rely what the question is, they are in a position to ask us and we are able to provide them an (age suitable) truthful answer. that's too undesirable extra mom and father are not like that, via fact the international helpful could be a much better place for those little ones to improve up!

It depends on how long the babysitter babysat. If the baby had round the clock care, then it's not a problem to drink. If, however, the babysitter spent a few hours and then left you in care of the baby, then you should not drink.

Its OK to tip a couple as long as it doesn't affect the kids, everyone needs a break. Best thing see if Grandma might take the kids over night and really hang one on.

People who don't have kids can always tell people who do, how to raise them, can't they. He probably *can't* have kids. Either no, um, roger, or can't find a woman who'd get that close. We all know you're a responsible parent, and we know how much you love your child. You're not pathetic, you're a strong young woman, coping with a lot of crap, and doing it well. You rock.

Hakuna Matata! No worries, Dan obviously has no family of his own or thinks those who drink are automatically drunks.
