You're in the middle of chatting to a friend, when he suddenly runs outside into a heavy thunderstorm, holding a lightening rod, screaming, "strike me, strike me now!". Why do you think he did that?

Because he is an idiot :D IT HURTS ! My brother was struck by lightening when he was 12 - we were running home in a storm by the river when there was a huge crash - lightening struck the ground in front of us and bounced up into his ankle - he fell down stunned ( an understatement ) and I checked him over - he had a black green burn/bruise on his ankle bone and he was literally green! but apart from shaking and feeling very sick he was ok so being kids we just walked home and didnt tell mum for a few days in case she was cross LOL, apart from being a bit of a tranny he is fine these days :D

Cause earlier that day, he had been abducted by squirrels and brainwashed. They are still experimenting with brainwashing tactics, so, as you can see, they need to perfect it. I'm sure they ment to convert him to their side, and try to convert his friend too... but it went horribly wrong and now the guy is dead. Thankfully it didn't work, so it gives us humans more time to prepare for their uprising.. Though now we also know that they will be looking for more humans to experiment on..... so watch out.. DON'T follow the cute little squirrels into the woods, or it could be you next who runs out into a thunderstorm...

Sounds like a bit of an attention seeking show off to me

Maybe he wanted to put some spark into the conversation or have a hair raising experience. If you are asking us and not him I assume it killed him so you'll never know the truth.

He wanted attention. I once hugged a flag pole at summer camp during a lightning storm.

I agree with Smiler. The last time you told that story I prayed for lightning myself.

either theconversation was really boring him or he wanted to see if he would recieve special powers and become lighteningman like the way spiderman did by getting bit by a spider

1. He might of been drunk at the time and did that.

2. He wants to impress you. Wants to be cool (which he's not)

Because he's rude. I mean in the middle of a conversation like that? If we were finishing up the convo I'd understand, but to just run out like that, very rude.
