If things carry on as they are we will all be ruled by overbearing mothering governments, unable to eat what we want (incase we get fat), unable to drink alcohol or smoke, driving low powered pigeon powered vehicles over neverending speed humps trudging to and from empty meaningless jobs, our time at home will be spent sorting through our rubbish to make sure we dont get fined for carelessly disposing of things which could have been recycled, many british people will have moved abroad (myself included) to live in countrys with more human friendly laws. The kids of today will end up living in huge government sponsered housing projects due to the rising costs of housing all pretty grim unfortunately

There is a growing sindrome of stereotype living.People are sriving to live by a standard the media proposes.Choices are conditioned by the expectations of a consumer society. You cease to ask yourself do you realy need all these things proposed .
A sense of beauty has been lost dissolved in usless uglyness of a plastic mass production.Man is suffocating his sense of reality and quality of living.Aesthetic beauty has always been linked to a philosophy of living .
Striving to reach an ideal way of life was always governed by beauty. This has been radically destroyed in todays society.
I think that 80% of individualls in todays society are deeply depressed and the future will be govered by the consequence of this fact.Drugs and gadgets to escape reality will be in vouge or religious sects will cater the lost and confused A sort of modern middle age.Supress man in his sense of beauty and wonder you will stop his progression, his life has no sense.

In 50 years, our population will hit 10 billion souls at our current rate of growth, there'll be zero fossil fuels, zero coal and other natural resources. Wars will be fought over water and effects of global warming will be in full swing. The burgeoning populations will mostly be third world countries.

Will technology save the day?...unlikely. Will we do something now to avoid the impending train wreck?....doubtful. Will there be some cataclysmic event that will bring us down to 3 billion, a more sustainable level?....probably.

its usually just a matter of extrapolation to figure it out

not difficult

you look at what has happened, what is happening now, then draw the lines to predict the future

We can only guess based on extrapolation of what has been happening lately. That gives the following forecast......
More and more comforts for the body but less and less peace for the mind.

according to a scientist i read about recently, humans will split into two different species, one will be tall and athletic, and the other, stunted, but very intelligent. i wonder which one i would rather be, tall and pretty but stupid, or ugly but smart? actually, i think thats rather like now.
